55 Ways to Feel Better After a Bad Day

So if you're wondering why I don't have a "birthday haul" thing up yet, it's because my party was scheduled to be on Tuesday instead of Saturday, so since it was held earlier than expected one of my presents hadn't gotten in yet. I'm waiting until it does come in to do a "what I got" post so I can everything in one post, so there may be a few more posts in between my wishlist/party day and "what I got/haul" thing.

SO.

ABOUT THIS POST.

These are pick-me-ups I've found that work for me over the years.  Let's just get started!

1. Make tea.
2. Make coffee.
3. Make hot chocolate.
4. Watch Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman.
5. Watch Mr. Rogers's Neighborhood.
6. Watch The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
7. Go shopping.
8. Bake something.
9. Watch something funny.
10. Take a walk.
11. Get a massage.
12. Brush your hair and teeth, suck on a mint, wash your face, take a bath or shower, go to the restroom, and take care of your general hygienic needs.
13. Escape to an imaginary world.
14. Read an old favorite book.
15. Read your favorite blog.
16. Text your BFF.
17. Smile at yourself in the mirror.
18. Apologize. No, don't give me "she started it" or "he started it". Suck it up and apologize. (Unless it's not your fault - but that's rare.)
19. Play favorite apps.
20. Eat something. Not junk food. (I happen to be a big fan of beef tacos and cold pasta.)
21. Step away from whatever's frustrating you.
22. If you're good in school, look at your grades. If you've gotten awards, look at those. Look at something that will remind you of how awesome you are.
23. Laugh.
24. Look forward to something. Are you going on a really cool trip during the summer? Are you going to a fun party next weekend? Think about that and get pumped for it. Then, start to prepare for it. Pick out your best party outfit, decide what doll to bring on the trip, etc.
25. Turn on your favorite epic music and prance around your room pretending you're going on an adventure. Find something (not sharp) to use for a sword. Gore orcs, kick butt, and be fabulous.
26. Listen to the radio.
27. Remember that you are you, and you belong to you, and no one can take you away from you.
28. No one noticed that embarrassing moment but you. And if they did, they'll have forgotten about it by tomorrow.
29. Clean your room.
30. Get comfy. Breathe sloooowly in and sloooowly out. Let your muscles relax.
31. Put away the computer right now.
32. Drink water.
33. Drink lemonade.
34. Write down why you're feeling blue.
35. Have a good cry.
36. Know you don't have any time for someone who's hurt you on purpose and they obviously need to get on your level of coolness.
37. Rest for ten minutes.
38. Cuddle with a favorite stuffed animal, doll, etc.
39. Don't think of all the things you have to do in the future - just think of a few fun things you could do right now.
40. Watch an old favorite movie or show.
41. Watch Connor Franta.
42. Spend time with a pet.
43. Decide which Ajah you would be. (Hooray for Browns!)
44. You know that thing you've been putting off? Do it. Now.
45. Plan a surprise for someone.
46. Get cupcakes.
47. Listen to some favorite music.
48. Buy something for yourself.
49. You know that person you're thinking bad stuff about right now? Think of a good thing about them.
50. Do your nails.
51. Put on fuzzy socks.
52. Recall a time somebody complimented you.
53. Recall a time you complimented somebody.
54. Dance in the rain.
55. Cheese.

Hope this helps you if you're ever feeling down! Comment how you make yourself feel better down below, remember that you are all very beautiful pickles, and have an amazing day :).

Namarië,
Ellie

  2. This is an awesome list! I did number 28. :P
    28. No one noticed that embarrassing moment but you. And if they did, they'll have forgotten about it by tomorrow. (I fell off my bike. Because my handlebars hit something. I scraped my knee and elbow. My siblings still remember it.) If you want to know what I ran in to, ask me on M M.

  4. I literally love lists like these because I read them and think that they're interesting but I'll never need them but when I do they're just the absolute best things ever.
Whenever I'm sad I put on all of my camp clothes/bracelets and rub sunscreen on my hands. While singing every possible repeat after me song I know. (My family is probably somewhat concerned why sometimes they hear me randomly whisper-singing to myself about moose.)
AND YES CHEESE. AND YES CONNOR FRANTA. JUST YES. THIS ENTIRE LIST. YES.
And idk if I'll be able to text you before school tomorrow (because of the wifi) so HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY! 🎂🍰🎊🎉

    1. Gosh, you're really emotionally invested in camp, aren't you? I bet you're going to be a councillor or junior councillor or something when you get old enough?
      THE MOOSE.
      WAIT.
      WAIT WAIT WAIT.
Do you mean the moose as in "there was a great big mouse who liked to drink a lot of juice the moose's name was Fred he liked to drink his juice in bed" or as in "the moose, the moo-oose, sitting in the water eating his supper where did he go". Because those are two very different moose songs.
      CHEEEEESE.
      CONNOR FRANTAAAAAA.
THANK 'EE MA'AM *bows* *whaddup reading class reference*
THANK 'EE AGAIN. AND....um....HAPPY EARLY HALF-BIRTHDAY TO YOU.
*bows with a flourish and disappears in a puff of smoke*

    2. Oh my gosh the first moose song is literally my favorite camp song from my camp I sing it all the time!!!!!!!! ;)

    3. OMG YAS!! :) That's my fave of the two moose songs because it's so upbeat and bouncy and the other is just draaa-aaa-aaa-gyyyy and depressing. My all-time favorite camp song, though, has to be the one that starts like "two little martians all dressed in green trying to get to Heaven on the end of a string" because you can keep going as long as you want *evil grin*.
