Contemplation

Hello, all you young childrens of the world,

Over the past few months, I have become especially aware of the errors I have recently committed, and therefore have elected to attempt to improve myself and my soul by acting daily upon some very excellent pieces of advice that I have decided to share here:

1. When ovens are not cleaned, they become very unsanitary places.

2. Never shoot a squirt gun at a cat.

3. Tablecloths were meant to be folded, but hard-boiled eggs were not.

I would hope these sound pieces of wisdom will help you in your own life, and that you will dutifully apply them to yourself with discipline and critical thinking by asking such questions as:

How can the ovens in my life be cleaned?
Am I trying to force any hard-boiled eggs to fold?
Are there any cats in my life, and have I been squirt gunning them?

Until next time.

Namarië,
A Very Much Wiser Ellie

  1. Oh Ellie, I love your sense of humor. ; ) I was smiling.

Yes, over the years I have realized many things. Among these being, learning when to keep your mouth shut, be quite careful when speaking your mind as I am often apt to do, and never ever be clumsy and spill hot cocoa on your prize possessions(a.k.a my books.)

    What a thought-provoking post.

  2. I have learned from your mistakes and added them to my inventory of Things I Should Not Do.
Some wiseness that I gained recently is that one should not look directly into a bottle of mustard wondering why it's not squirting.
Also one should not eat garlic raw.

    1. Very good, young kitten.
      Very good piece of advice.
Really? I like garlic raw. But I realize the taste is not for everyone.
I shall indeed add your mistakes to my inventory of Things I Should Not Do.

    2. The garlic was actually really good on toast with butter... Until I ate too much of it. My breath tasted like garlic for days! But I did successfully ward off 3 vampires in that time.

  4. THIS. This is probably one of my favorite posts in the history of ever. That is very sound advice. I don't have nearly as much wisdom as you do but if we're talking about things we've learned I guess what I've learned is the difference between speaking your opinion and shaming someone else's????? And that the hats of mini gnomes tend to break slightly in battle. And beware of the cats. They are fluffy and adorable but an enemy of the miniature objects.

      THX.
Very deep, very good thing to have learned. I honestly think we can all learn a little from that.

  5. Yeah only one of them got his little hat chipped. Unfortunately the cat won since the gnomes had to make a hasty retreat after Atticus was injured. (Otto was okay though)
And yes Dutchess is amazing. And Wyatt. Lucky....not so much.

  6. I love your words of wisdom!
Over the years I've learned that studying does help you do better in school, you have to practice many things and patience is required for many activities (I don't have much patience,, but I'm working on it!)

Ugh patience is so difficult. :P I seem to have like none too, but we can work on it together. :)

  7. Oh, how I loved this, Ellie. xD
Over the years I've learned many things, like don't forget and leave your weather project in the school hallway against the wall, locker stickers may say removable when they really aren't (more my friend's story than mine but to say the least we angered a school janitor xD) & that teachers give you weird looks when you roam the halls after school wasting time because you had to go upstairs to grab your viola from the music room.
    ...
I don't know why all of those ended up school-related but alright. xD

    1. Ugh I feel ya on the locker stickers thing. It always seems to happen to me with those paper dolls where their clothes aren't paper, they're "reusable stickers" that either a) never come off or b) never stay on. I DEMAND A REFORM OF THE REMOVABLE STICKERS INDUSTRY. :P
School 'tis fine. At least it kinda helps put me in the mood for a current events project I have to do for school. It's due at school in less than three hours, and it's five forty am on the day it's due and I haven't started it yet. :P
