A Little Bit of Writing I Did

Comment what you think below :).

___

There is a place that is not a good place.
I have been there.
I have seen.
Children, snatched out of their mothers' arms when still on milk, are funneled into institutions where they are hurt if they dare be anything but totally submissive, if they dare have opinions or feelings. They are then, when not even come to full maturity, forced to do "tasks" the Society has deemed necessary for its own survival. It picks and chooses who is assigned to what tasks, where, and when, and if someone is not assigned they are outcast and shunned, and noses are turned up at them, and they are denied any dignity or self.
People are sorted into categories based on physical features. Those deemed undesirable are swept under the rug, denied the benefits of the Society, denied basic rights, denied sustenance for living, reduced to dirt on the street. But those who are desirable are vaulted into the highest positions, rule with iron fist and blood-streaked claw over the others, often being the cause of their misfortune and propaganda and rules against them. They lounge on beds of gold and eat with sapphire forks.
When someone is in suffering through a fault of the Society, everyone stands and looks on, watches with amusement and glee as salty tears sting and lifeblood is drained by cruelty, as sense of self and dignity is stripped away. And the bystanders laugh.
The Society spies on people, listens to their conversations, and the denizens live in fear that something they say will be deemed "inconvenient". For if this is so and they are deemed a threat to the Society, they are abruptly taken away and tortured horribly or killed. Their loved ones are imprisoned and morbidly abused.
People give everything to be in power, in control. They bleed themselves and the drops of red fall down onto the glittering, pristine diamonds and silk bed-sheets they have earned as result of the sacrifice of themselves, of their souls, which they sell to the Society, which twists them into monstrous creatures - all for a sapphire fork.
I have been to this place and seen these things, and I have come back full of dark despair and void of hope.
For does this world sound familiar?
It's ours.

  1. Well.
    That was a tad depressing.
    Is something bothering you? XD

ELLIE THAT WAS SO DARN AMAZING IT SERIOUSLY BELONGS AT THE BEGINING IF SOME DYSTOPIAN SOCIETY MOVIE. WHY ARE YOU NOT A PROFESSIONAL WRITER?
My love for this is rivaled only by my love for sapphire forks.
HALF THE GROWN UPS OF THE GALAXY CANNOT WRITE LIKE THAT.
Please- take me as your apprentice!
Cause I say "LOOOOK AT THIS STORY I WROTE!" And show you all a half done rough draft that crumbled away In my hands. And you're all like "oh, I write a little bit." And we are presented with brilliance fallen from the sky.
The gods of reading and writing definently were put in charge of smushing your brain into your head. Lol XD

    Ok. I'm done now.

  6. You are utterly amazing.
Until I read this, I entertained the belief that I could write.
I am not kidding when I say this: If you write a book, it WILL be published. Maybe not right away... but someday, in your life, if you send in a manuscript to a publisher, it WILL be published. And when that happens, I'll be able to say to people, "I read her blog! I knew her through the internet!"
Long story short, God has blessed you with the talent of writing. Keep up the astounding work!

Don't say that, dear, I'm sure you can write very very well :).

    2. Well, I really think you do write this sort of thing better than I do. I specialize more in children's fantasy stories. :)

  7. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH IT'S GREAT.
Seriously though the first time I read this I thought it sounded like a real good idea for a dystopian universe/some fictional book and when I saw you were talking about our society I was just...PLOT TWIST

    1. THANK YOU SO MUCH :D.
Yes, the bit at the end is intended to make you go "whoa, what?" and read back through the material again so you can understand the full meaning instead of being introduced to it at the beginning at shoving it away.....
      I sound like Mrs. Hogan.

  8. Blargh sorry I've barely been commenting for the past month. Camp NaNo has taken over my social life. And I mean that literally. "Oh hey I can't talk about anything right now I'm writing" "Oh ok cool I'm also trying to get to my WCG so I can't talk about anything either" "Oh great now you won't think I'm abandoning you" "I'm writing" "Oh sorry" "......" "......"

My friends and I are weirdos. Anyways,
ARGH THIS WAS SO GOOD I COULDN'T EVEN PROCESS IT AND ARGH
Honestly, you should be the one attempting to write a though provoking book for Camp NaNo, not me. All the words I slaved over is only worth 0.000000000000001% of what this is worth.
And yes, I quite agree, our society is messed up big time.

    1. Don't worry about it! :) I gets it. When I sit down to write if even my mom comes up to give me an after-school hug I'll nearly snap her head off....hehe.....*blushes*
Oh my goodness, thank you so much! :) That means a lot. No no, dear, I'm sure you're a very good writer. Words are only worth how much effect they have and how much effort goes into them, and it sounds like you put a lot of effort into yours. :)

    2. Haha, yes. "BE QUIET PEOPLES CAN'T YOU TELL I'M TRYING TO WRITE!?!?!?!" Honestly, I sometimes watch Aspen Heights while writing. But I press the yellow button on it (if that makes sense) so I can only hear it and not watch it and then it's weird because I can actually focus better.

      You're welcome! :) Thanks :)

    3. I love doing that - it feels like I'm listening to the radio. It's fun to try to distinguish the characters' voices - although when you hear something like "SECOND CHANCE!?!?!?!? CHICKEN DANCE!!!!!", you know it must be Brianna. :)
