I Seriously Need to Charge My Phone: Mutterings, Musings, and Suchlike #8

My grandmother's pastels always have the most vivid and/or lovely names. "Church Mouse". "Dragon's Blood". "Stardust". "Atmosphere". "French Roast". "Spruce". Which one of those is your favorite?* Do you know of any lovely color names? Comment below :).

WHY HELLO THERE Y'ALL.

I AM BACK.

WITH ANOTHER EDITION OF MY MUTTERINGS, MUSINGS, AND SUCHLIKE.

LET US COMMENCE.

Isn't he literally the cutest and bestest though. :)

One could truthfully say I stalk him on Twitter and Insta. :D

AND WHILE WE'RE ON THE TOPIC:

All pics from Superfruit Twitter
I don't ship them, but these kinda make me do so for a minute. Especially the last one <3.

Same story with this:

Once again, don't usually ship them. But come on, peoples, look here. Dan's feeding Phil, and Phil's face is like a baby bunny opening its mouth wide to try to fit a whole carrot. Awwwwww <3 <3

So I was walking to my seat during study hall the other day, and this one kid in my class (who shall be known as Joel) was staring off into the distance, stroking his chin. One of his friends (who shall be known as Ryan) was sitting with him. I believe this story is best told like the classics of old: in a play.

Me *stops and looks quizzically at Joel*: Pray tell what you are thinking about?

Joel *turns head suddenly and stares at me*: How would you like to die?

Me: Uuuhhh....I...don't....really.....

Ryan: We're discussing very philosophical things!!!!!!

J: We're having a passionate thinking session**.

R: Have you ever watched The Passion????

J: The movie. The passion movie about Jesus. (Stars banging fist on table after every sentence) The movie about Jesus Christ. Starring Jesus Christ. The movie about Jesus Christ.

R: We're reenacting it!!!!!

J: You're in it. You're in the passion movie. You're in the passion movie about Jesus Christ. Starring Jesus.

R: We're working on a script and screenplay!!!!

(I inch away slowly.)

So I've been feeling kind of stressed with school and such lately, and this has really helped:

One of the things I'm kind of freaked about is the city's science bowl, which I'm competing in this year (along with Joel and Ryan and this really arrogant guy and this one kid who's so smart he could probably cure cancer if he ever tried). So yeah we'll see how that goes.

ALSO.

THERE IS A THING WE MUST DISCUSS.

AND THAT THING IS THE ECLIPTIC CURSE.

Initial Thoughts:

1. Holy crap.

2. I love the high school/friendship drama atmosphere that was immediately created.

3. I also love that the backstory was explained right away - not like Aspen Heights, where we're still left without important information in the fifth season! I understand that in AH the lack of explanation was used to create suspense, but EC is proof that suspense can be created without depriving the viewers of background info and severely confuzzling them.

4. Where did Alexis get Serena's cardigan 'cause it's amazing.

5. I hate Lia's guts. Then again, I hated Livia's guts in the first season of AH, and now I really like her. So we'll see how Lia turns out.

6. Nobody could see this and not walk away with at least 10 ships. Mine are Cole and Lia, Serena and Max (ugh I feel so cliche shipping them), and Conrad and Melina (the current EC OTP).

Well, I think that's all for today! :) Comment down below your thoughts and ships for EC, and have a lovely day!

Namarië,
Ellie

*I personally like "Church Mouse", but "French Roast" is pretty close.

**A passionate thinking session.

I feel like you did a few days ago with the movies.
Ah yes. I like those kinds of people. People are much easier to tolerate on the nerd side of the force. (Except girls. Girls are irritating all around. [excluding you and Emily and a few nameless others]) the boys who sit behind me in math sound like your passionate thinking session boys. One day I heard Ryan the dwarf lord (cause he's short and really likes dwarves) singing quietly about the tesseract. To the tune of Do You Wanna Build A Snowman. He completely denies that he did this, but I found it amusing anyway. Another time that were all talking about 3D printers, and someone must have had a good idea because Tristan stood up and shouted "WHY ARENT WE USING THIS FOR EVIL?"
Now I'll go watch those videos (because I had to be the first to comment so I didn't waste any time watching the videos but I am probably not first now anyways SO.
    I'll be back.

    2. OOH OOH OOH! I know where the black sweater came frooooooommmm! (I'm practically jumping with excitement because I know the answeeerrr!) lorilizgirlsanddolls on etsy. I wanted to buy it but someone snatched it out from under my nose. Now I know the culprit. *grinns malevolently* but that cardigan tho it would have gone great with the dark red tee. *dreamy sigh*

      Meh.
      Meh? Really? Meh?
Meh indeed. I could really do without the middle school style relationships. This is precisely why girls irritate me. These characters are obviously not from the Nerd Side Of The Force. BUT MAN I JUST GOT ON SPRING BREAK AWAY FROM THE SILLY PEOPLE! Now there's dolls acting like the people I roll my eyes at. Ugh. People.
The GOOD THING is that there's witchcraft involved. This should get interesting. I'll probably LOVE it later in the season. I just seem to have a problem with pilot episodes.

Yes I love chocolate chip. Even more so oatmeal crasin. Mmmmmm the sweet cookie joy of meing first.

      ~Gwen who is a cranberry.
(I'm now a fruit and not a vegetable)

    3. OH MY GOODNESS I LOVE THEIR SHOP AND THANK 'EE :D
IDK, Melina might be. She certainly isn't afraid to march up to someone and tell them exactly everything they're doing wrong with their life, which I like :).
Yesh. Witchcraft is cool. One of them should be able to read minds. That would be very cool. :)

      - Ellie who accepts fruits just as much as vegetables and actually is quite a fan of cranberries

  2. I like stardust. I sounds so....magical fairy like.
They look so cute it's adorable. Even though they're just friends. And I swear Dan and Phil are an old married couple they're so domestic I forget they're relationship is just platonic. Oh well.
Ah yes the passionate thinking sessions. That's pretty much what I (and person who sits next to me who I think you know who I'm talking about but idk) deal with everyday in math.
Wow that's surprisingly relaxing. I seriously love the sound of running water. And campfires. And people walking in gravel. I just feel so peaceful imagining it.
Yes it's so good!!! And doesn't aspen heights season five come out today? Or soon?

    3. The fam is amazing <3.
Where did he get that idea anyway. Did he just come up with it on his own like the passionate thinking session or is it some Internet joke we're not kool enough ti know about?

  3. The Dan and Phil picture is awesome. The Ecliptic Curse is really good, I liked the back story part too. I am not so sure about Lia, hopefully she gets nicer like Livia.

  5. I love Star Dust.
I know this sounds pretty mean, but I go to a school for nerds. Some kids are cool, but there are to many nerds and others like that to count. Some of them are fine, but they think they are WAY smarter than anyone else. There are a lot of fights about video games and star wars. I myself am a book worm who hangs out with chorus kids/ over achievers (They haven't quite rubbed off on me-I still get Bs and can't sing)
As for the Ecliptic Curse, I like knowing all the back grounds too. I think Lia is the new Livia, and I agree with all your ships, especially Melina and Conrad:)

    1. Hmm.....didn't you say you go to an academy-type place? Maybe some people have of pressure from their parents to do well, since they got sent to an academy or something. Or maybe they feel proud for getting into the academy where others couldn't and kind of let that get the better of their ego? Idk.
      IKR.
I hope she has a different aspect to her - i.e., not be mean season one, be changed by an awful event, and remain a pitiable character for the rest of the show. I hope her transformation (if there is one) and journey through the seasons is a bit different than Livia's - otherwise you might just have LIvia and not create Lia!
IKRRRR CELINA (idk if that's their ship name but we're going with it for now) FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

THIS POST IS 86.7% OF THE THINGS I LOVE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
    *ahem* xD
I just watched the first episode of The Ecliptic Curse and hoooooly cheezits. It is absolutely wonderful. I adore all of the characters (AGsmiless customs are flawless) and gahhh the plot is so wonderful and I really wish it hadn't ended on such a suspenseful note because now I need to know what happens and IT'S SO PERFECT. *O* I think Cole and Lia are definitely going to get together in the future...and Max and Serena are clearly going to be the major OTP...but who is Conrad going to couple with? I think it might be Melina.

    1. IKR though. I like Molly best so far - but I'm also pretty fond of Cole and Kylie. She is the queen of cliffhangers and I think we all hate her for it. ;) Yeah, me too....it's just set up so perfectly. And they will be. And Celina forever and don't you forget it.

    THE PASSIONATE THINKING SESSION.
I READ THIS AGAIN AND I CANT EVEN WRITE A COMMENT WITHOUT CACKLING.
    STARRING. JESUS. CHRIST.
IT SHOULD NOT BE THIS FUNNY.
    Fudge.
I have been meticulously coming through my old comments on here because I was looking for the "put on your war paint" thing and I said I left my war paint at home and then something funny after that but I can't remember if it was a conversation I had in my head or an actual thing. But now you know why I am commenting on a several month old post.

    JESUS FAAAAAAAAHTING CHRIST
Idk what I'm even doing now. Not farting. We'll leave that to our good friend Jesus.
    Schmidt.
    I'm still laughing.
