The Summer Bucket List Tag!

Thank you so much to the lovely Mint for tagging me! :)

Rules:

1. Write 15 things that you want to do this summer (if you can't think of 15 that's okay) and publish it in a post.

2. Insert the picture.

3. Nominate 4 other people to do the tag.

4. Have fun!

My 15 Things:

Okay, some of these are more "goals" then classic "bucket-list-type-items" - more abstract-ish things I want to accomplish than single events. :) But that's ok.

1. Read as many books as possible.

2. Go on at least three walks a month. This may not seem like a lot to you, but, trust me, it's a lot to me. I spend most of my summer inside, lazing around.

3. Get good grades in summer school. For those of you who don't know, the high school I'll be going into next year offers some month-long classes over the summer, so you can take required courses and get them out of the way and have more elective time during the actual school year. I'll be taking Art Introduction, a prerequisite to Ceramics I, so that when I get to school in the fall I can jump right into Ceramics instead of having to take Art Intro first.

4. Experiment more with fashion.

5. Have a picnic.

6. Go swimming with friends :).

7. Make homemade lemonade.

8. Draw on the driveway with sidewalk chalk.

9. Go to the Farmers' Market at least once.

10. Go to a local ice cream place. They have the creamiest, most delicious ice cream ever, and if we bring our doggie they'll give her a treat. :)

11. Make s'mores.

12. Make a new friend. Even if it's just at summer school - I feel like I need to push myself out of my comfort zone (i.e., curled up antisocially in the corner) a little.

13. Cloudwatch.

14. Stargaze.

15. Go to a baseball game.

Like Autumn, who did this tag a little bit ago, I think I might do a post at the end of the summer where I see how many of these I met/did. We'll see. :)

I nominate:

Noor
Leah M.
Jess
Kathleen

And I think that's it for today! :) Remember that you are all VERY BEAUTIFUL PICKLES. :)

Namarië,
Ellie

  1. Sounds like an awesome list! When I read 2. Go on at least three walks a month. I was like "Wow! I walk almost every single day!"

  3. "Bucket list" refers to the term "kick the bucket", or die.
You don't plan on dying at the end of summer, I hope?
I guess when school comes and you have to stop having summer fun, your soul dies a bit.

1 I should probably read more, too. I used to read a ton before I discovered doll blogs.
2 My dad and I hiked in pack forest the other day, we want to turn that into a weekly event and bring mom and Cole.
3 All this artsy fartsy stuff sounds like fun!
    4 Fashion=basketball shorts.
5 on the grass in the sunshine slurping watermelon
    6 ew friends. XD
    7 green tea lemonade
    8 with my cousins
9 farmers markets are pretty cool. I especially like it if someone is selling lavender. Lavender smells awesome. I went to Pike Place market with my cousins once. We saw people singing and throwing fish.
10 I want you to teleport this ice cream store to my neighborhood.
11 I don't like marshmallows. How about Nutella grahm crackers?
12 maybe I could curl up antisocially in the corner opposite you. Friends? What do you do with those?
    13 I SEE A DINOSAUR
    14 I SEE ANOTHER DINOSAUR
15 one time o went to a mariners baseball game with my cousins and grandparents. We took the train there. It was my first time at a baseball game and we bought overpriced curly fries and looked out of the windows at the top and paid no attention to the game whatsoever. When the game was over and we finally left, the train left without us. So we wandered around seattle for a bit and grandpa was grumpy because the Mariners lost. Eventually grandma called my aunt to come and get us. So we walked to this huge Asian grocery store and bought 15 boxes of pocky so Sara could park for free.
    It was fun.
That is my baseball game story.

    1. I should hope I don't :) If I do, I'd like it to be doing some heroic deed but being fatally wounded and dying in Thorin's arms. <3
      2. Sounds like fun :).
      3. Meh. I like art history and working with physical materials like glass, metal, and clay, but I dislike + suck at drawing stuff on paper, which I think this'll be. The purpose of Art Intro, I think, is to get you used to drawing lines and shapes, something I fail miserably at. :P
      9. I like the people who sell home-grown peaches in white paper bags, and the people who sell smoked gouda that you can sample on a bunch of tiny china plates, and the people who sell fried doughnuts dipped in sugar. Yums :) I also like when they set out wooden bins of fruits and vegetable because it makes me think of a fantasy-like outdoor market....:)
      10. I want to go there.
      11. I generally don't like them either except in s'mores. Are Nutella graham crackers graham crackers flavored like Nutella or graham crackers smeared with Nutella? Either way, they sound good. :)
      15. That was a good story. I like curly fries.

    2. Lol yes. Very dramatic and sweet. A single anguished tear trips onto your battered face. And it starts to rain as the whole world mourns you who sacraficed your life to save middle earth.

      Yup.

Nutella smeared on a grahm cracker.

  4. Oh my gosh, Ellie, your blog posts always make me so happy. :D These all sound absolutely fantastic and I hope you get to do each and every single one of them! May I also recommend you create a 'summer playlist' on YouTube to help you pass the time until summer? It really gets you into the mood of the season. :D
