Julie Helps Plant Tomatoes!

I swear my dad is a farmer at heart. Very unfortunately, this doesn't work too well with our geographical location (the middle of a city), but still we try the best we can. There's a strip of land about a foot wide that goes up the side of our driveway - and a tiny plot the size of a couple of chairs near our backyard - and that is where, every year, we plant the Tomatoes.

(Oh, and peppers are there, too. And sage and rosemary and chives. But the Tomatoes are my dad's pride and joy above all other plants, and they are the kings of the Makeshift Driveway Garden.)

A couple days ago it was that time of year again to plant the Tomatoes (and miscellaneous inferior sidekicks), and I was tugging on my boots and getting ready to hop on outside when Julie came and asked if she could come too. So out she came, and here are a few pics of what she did:

Fascinated with dirt.
Helping with a pepper plant.
About to plant some sage!
Helping to mulch. Also hello to my doggie accidentally photo bombing in the background.
Mulch mountain!
AND ALSO.

D&D UPDATE.

We've now broken off from the caravan to pursue a path where cultists frequently take stolen treasure. It's led us to a castle that seems to be a regional stronghold, and where the cultists and local Bollywogs - humanoid frogs - are enslaving the Lizardfolk that live there, and we're planning a revolution of the Lizardfolk. Hopefully that goes well :).

WELL.

I THINK THAT'S ALL FOR TODAY.

Have an awesome rest of your day, and remember that you are all very beautiful pickles. <3

Namarië,
Ellie

  1. I would love to have a garden too! (Only every year a family of rabits come and eat all our stuff so we don't plant vegetables that much anymore) My parents might let me grow flowers...

    1. Ugh :P that must be awful.
Hopefully! Maybe, if bunnies get in the way of a ground garden, you could try potted flowers or window boxes.

  3. Also, Ellie, I replied to your comment on Dolls On My Mind, because I think that some of what you had to say is very important as well. May I email you so I have someone to occasionally rant to if I lose my mind temporarily because of the AG fandom?

    2. :) Just saw it. YAYZ THANK YOU! My other friends are more of doll-likers; aka they like dolls but aren't into them enough to get into the fandom and they really don't understand my rants.

    4. Sometimes they don't even remember what dolls they have. Or their names. My friend has Kanani and got her for Christmas 2013 and she's still in her box. 0.0 Seriously? I'm so jealous.

    5. IKR though. Sometimes don't you just want to steal the dolls and take them gone with you?

    6. Yep:
"ALAS, YOUR DOLLS HAVE MYSTERIOUSLY DISSAPEARED" *nudges doll foot behind bed and hopes no one saw*

    8. "oh yes I'd love to help you search lets search in the closet. Away from the bed. Because why would they be under a bed???"
I do that a lot too tbh :).

  4. Looks like Julie had a blast! I like her outfit. : )

My family is big on gardening....I don't really fancy mingling with spiders and dirt, but I'll wash the produce or watch my siblings why my parents garden!

    1. Thanks! :)
Same. Although I do enjoy working with dirt to a certain extent, after a while I prefer more to ferry things from my mom in the backyard to my dad in the front and sit around making idle chatter with whoever is nearest at the moment. Picking is super fun, though. :)

  6. Ewww tomatoes. How dare they crush their "inferior" sidekicks beneath them with their ill-begotten tomato power! May the Squarish Mulch Mountain squish them and their disagreeable flavor where they shall never curse the culinary universe again!
This calls for a pepper and sage uprising! No plant shall be paled in the nefarious and deceitful light of the tomatoes!
    This is war.

I just started thinking about how many times I declared war on your blog. Does this bring the tally up to three?

    Is that abnormal?
