Just Some Early-Morning Shots with Caroline

I'm amazed at the amount of face shots I got out of this. Usually her curls are being so crazy and wild I can barely get two. :P

Which was your favorite pic? Comment below. :)

  8. Was Peeves in the movies? How about SPEW?
You need to know about both of them for your full Harry potter fandom experience.

  9. did nearly headless nick have his death day party? Did you meet wink the depressed house elf who drowned her sorrows in butter beer?
    I haven't watched the movies, so I wouldn't know.

    1. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY RAAAAAAAAAAAAAIN.
I like the sound of rain too. (Except when it's paired with thunder and lightning. Then it gets scary.)
I am glad for your happiness.
Neither of them were, although I do know Peeves from the two books I've red so far. I haven't the faintest clue who SPEW is yet, though.
He didn't in the movies, but, like Peeves, I am recently informed of it by the book. And Wink was not in the movies, as far as I know, and is currently a mystery to me.
They explained he was in an orphanage where nobody liked him. Is that all or is there more?

  11. SPEW- society for protection of elvish welfare.
It's a thing Hermione made up after learning about house elves. She doesn't understand that they LIKE being enslaved.
Peeves is best in the 5th book, when Fred and George are causing extra trouble for Umbrige and they ride out on their broomsticks and say "give her hell from us, peeves". And he does. And it is glorious.
Winkie <-——look! Spell check let me write it correctly! Was Barty Crouch's house elf, who was freed. And she dosen't like it. This is where a lot if SPEW comes in.

I think there's more voldemortish stuff, but it's one of those convoluted flashbacks (I found it to be similar to the Silmarillion, in that if you love the little details and history, you will find it interesting, but if you just want to get on the story, it's a potter hole.) explaining the pure blood wizard obsession and why that causes problems.

    1. Ohhhhh I see. Who is Barty Crouch?
OOH! What is the explanation of the pure blood wizard obsession?

    2. Mad eye Moody's impersonator. This was in the 4th year, I think. He was using poly juice potion to be moody and rig the triwizard tournament so that Harry would touch the portkey first, which would transport him to the graveyard where they could use his blood to give old voldy a body of his own.

I don't really remember (it's been a while since I read them). But you know how on the Black family tree anyone who marries a muggle or a mud blood is burned off? The pure blood wizards we so intent on keeping the race pure that they married siblings and cousins, which lead to disorders (mostly behavioral, it seems).
Most of the wizarding political issues are based on Europe during world war 2. Voldemort's desire to exterminate the mud bloods was based on hitler and his idea that one breed of people was better than everyone else. There were a lot of other connections, too, now that I'm remembering the holocaust unit in history.

I found a really cool thing on pintrest explaining the mature themes and elements in all of the books.
