Songs I've Been Loving in August 2015

A lot has happened this month.

I started high school.

I hit 150 followers on Instagram.

But I also listened to some pretty darn good music.

So let us begin.

"Let's Kill Tonight" by Panic! at the Disco

"May your feet serve you well,
And the rest be sent to Hell,
Where they always have belonged.
Cold hearts brew colder songs!"

SO CAN I JUST SAY.

THAT OF ALL THE SONGS I'VE BEEN LOVING THIS MONTH.

THIS HAS TO BE THE ONE I'VE LOVED THE MOST.

It was on repeat 24/7 for a solid week or more and I listened to nothing else and it makes me happy because it's very sassy and it's in minor and it's got a cool electronic vibe going on and listen to it right now please and thank you.

The Sherlock Theme Song

So I watched Sherlock.

Um.

Mm-kay.

I liked it. It was good. Watson/Martin Freeman was awesome, and so was Mycroft. But am I madly in love with it? No. Will I die of agony if the fourth season never comes out? No. If it does come out, I'll watch it, but I feel like I rate the show like 3/5 stars (slightly above average, if you consider 2.5/5 to be average), whereas the majority of people who watch it are like OH MY GOD 20 OUT OF 5 STARS SLAP TEN THOUSAND GOLDEN GLOBES ON THIS THING.

But it does have a pretty darn good theme song.

The slowed down version is quite good, too. It has this somewhat morbid and creepy vibe with a little bit of quirky magic thrown in there too.

"What a Catch, Donnie" by Fall Out Boy

"I got troubled thoughts and the self-esteem to match.
What a catch,
What a catch."

I DARE YOU.

I DARE YOU.

I DOUBLE-DOG DARE YOU.

TO LISTEN TO THIS SONG AND TELL ME PATRICK STUMP DOESN'T HAVE THE VOICE OF AN ANGEL.

This is just such an incredibly beautiful song. Plus that mashup of their other songs at the end omg kill me.

Enough said.

"I Don't Care" by Fall Out Boy

"The best of us can find happiness in mi-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-sery."

(I kid you not I'm literally listening to this as I type this up.)

Oh my God guys. This song is also extremely sassy, and my heart just drops to my toes and then shoots back up to my throat every time he goes "mi-i-i-i-i-sery". Plus that guitar man. Oh my God that guitar. Kill me now.

"Hedwig's Theme" by John Williams

I recently finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and thus have become a full-fledged Harry Potter fan. Therefore, this song has been on constant repeat as I prance around my room imagining myself in Diagon Alley or the Battle of Hogwarts with Harry, Hermione, Draco, or friends. Hooray for Harry Potter!

Well, that's all for today. What songs have you been loving? Comment below.

Namarië,
Ellie

P.S. - Go Ravenclaw!

P.P.S. - I literally am Hermione. Not like I pretend to be her when I imagine myself in the Harry Potter universe, but she's pretty much the fictional incarnation of me. Replace her with me in the whole series and there would be pretty much no change. We're twinsies :D.

  3. Yes but Ellie the real question is... did you want to kill JK Rowling when Fred died? xD The twins, and Ginny are my favourite characters and I just.. no, you can't kill one of the twins without killing both of them think of poor George!

I really want to watch Sherlock, Martin Freeman is an amazing actor, and plus I want to see what all the fuss is about, do you think it's worth it?
I Don't Care is possibly my favourite Fall Out Boy song, the guitar and drums are fantastic.

    1. A little, yeah. But not overly much. I like the Weasleys, but to tell the truth the Malfoys are my faves. Draco's literally like the most tragic thing and then we have Narcissa and Lucius over here trying to find him to keep him safe and also being literally the most adorable couple ever in the mean time and btw Narcissa pretty much saved Harry's life in DH and yeah.
Ginny is pretty great too. Movie Ginny was quite lame in comparison to book Ginny, though.
Eh. Yeah, I think you should give it a shot. It seems like what you might like, plus there are only 3 seasons with 3 episodes each so it's not like you'll have wasted a lot of your life binge watching it if you decide you don't like it xD.
I KNOW RIGHT THEY MAKE MY HEART HAVE SPASMS.
