So I've seen other people do these kinds of posts and I was like that's a cool kind of post so today I'm going to do this kind of post.

Nectar in a Sieve by Kamala Markandaya. I'm reading this for my area's Academic Decathlon. So far, I think it's rather good. The imagery is really lovely, and the main character quite likable.

The Tale of the Body Thief by Anne Rice. The fourth book in the Vampire Chronicles (which I'm slowly but steadily working my way through). Very good - 4.5/5 stars. David is awesome, and I love how we're getting to see more about his character. Raglan is a unique and formidable antagonist, Lestat is Lestat (can't say much more there tbh), and Rice's writing is lovely, as usual.

Supernatural. My best friend is obsessed with it (think of me and Tolkien), and after hearing her raving about it for several months I decided to give it a shot - it sounded pretty good. So far, I'm on season 2, episode 8, and I would rate it 3.5/5 stars. Pretty good, especially season 2 so far. There are some episodes and characters (Sam) that are just boring and don't strike my fancy, but some episodes, especially the serial ones and the Hook Man one at the beginning of season 1, are awesome (and Dean.).

"NO NO NO THEY* MUSTN'T DIE!" every two seconds while watching Supernatural.

What have you been doing this month? Comment below :).

*And not just Sam and Dean. Cassie, Jo, Jessica, John, Mary......bloody everybody.

  1. Hi Ellie! I REALLY wanted to get involved in your writing competition but I was so busy with my Blogger Choice Awards that I didn't have any time to write an essay! I'm so sorry about that, will you be doing another one in the future?
