A Very Musical Blog Party, Day 10: Favorite Character Outfits (Free Day)

Hey, young bloods! Today's the last day of the Very Musical Blog Party. It's a free day, which means we can talk about anything we want. Inspired by this post by Olivia at Letters from Avonlea, I'm going to be discussing some of my favorite outfits of various musical characters. Let us begin!

First, we have this lovely ensemble of Margy Frake from State Fair. Margy wears this outfit at the beginning of the musical, when her family is packing to go to the fair and she sings the iconic song "It Might as Well be Spring". I love how the ribbons and ruffles dress up an otherwise plain outfit, but the simple color scheme keeps it from being too much.

Another dress of Margy's I've always loved is this one. She wears this one at the fair, and I adore the pop of red in the black and white color scheme. Plus, the skirt looks like the delightful swishy kind that will swirl around you when you twirl, and I just love the ultra-puffy sleeves.

Next we have some clothes from Maria from The Sound of Music. The first dress of hers I really love is the gauzy blue one. Elegant yet simple, it looks like it would be perfect for a hot summer's day. Plus, I really love that shade of blue.

This next dress of hers is a more practical turquoise one with cuffed 3/4 sleeves and a belt. I love this dress - it's professional/business-like but flattering at the same time. Plus, once again, the color is just lovely.

Finally, we have the Jolly Holiday outfits of both Mary Poppins and Bert. These are the clothes they wear when they go into that magical land Bert draws on the sidewalk with chalk and meet the penguins and sing the "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" song. We'll start with Mary Poppins.

I absolutely love the colors in this dress - white and red go so beautifully together! The flower petals add a bit of fun, and the hat and boots tie it perfectly together.

I absolutely adore Bert's outfit! The whimsical and colorful stripes remind me of candy, and the colors go together so incredibly well. Plus, the hat and the cane are just so fun!

Well, that's all for now. Have a wonderful day, and remember that you are all indeed very beautiful pickles. <3
