Also, I'd like everyone to go read The Big Red Button. It's not a blog post per se, but it contains very important information, especially if you have anxiety, depression, or struggle with self-harm or you know someone who does.

Eating:

GIRL SCOUT COOKIES OH YEAH.

I got two boxes of Peanut Butter Patties (my favorites) and one of Thin Mints at the beginning of the month, and all that's left as of right now is a couple Thin Mints xD If the season isn't over, I might try to get my fingers on a box of Caramel Delights (which I think are known as Samoas in other parts of the country???)

Writing:

ELVES!

I have finally gotten to the Elves in my fantasy WIP, and they are even more interesting than I thought they would be. I don't like Tolkien-type Elves because of how "perfect" they are, but my Elves I find quite nice. (Obviously, as I invented them.) Sadly, we won't run into my two favorites for a while, buuuuuuut the Elves we HAVE met so far are still pretty freakin' cool. ;)

Listening To:

The Game of Thrones soundtrack. I've not gotten around to watching the series yet (it's in line behind The West Wing, and that's only after I've finished Supernatural), but man oh man the music. It's great to listen to while I'm writing my fantasy WIP. My favorite thus far is "The Children" (above).

So, let's chat! What have y'all been up to this month? Have you been writing or reading anything particularly interesting? And HAVE YOU HAD GIRL SCOUT COOKIES?!?! Comment below, and remember that you are all beautiful pickles. <3

Namarië,
Ellie

P.S. guESS WHOSE BIRTHDAY IS TODAY?!?!?

She's literally 10,000% done in this picture oh my gosh.

MY DOGGIE'S!!!

So I guess this means technically she's eight but technically she's also two? Idk man xD As you can tell from the above pictures, she does not like party hats. xD

Ooo elves! That sounds like it's fun to write. I might have try that sometime...
Ah, yes. Game of Thrones has a pretty good soundtrack. I've been recently listening to Imagine Dragon's album Smoke and Mirrors and it's also nice. I just really like their style of music.
Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY WITTLE DOGGIES! She's adorable. *squeals*

    1. I KNOW RIGHT LIKE WTF GIRL SCOUTS WE'RE NOT MILLIONAIRES??? Although I think you can find some inexpensive knock-off thin mints called "grasshoppers". They're made by Keebler and actually taste reeeeeally close to thin mints; I can barely tell the difference tbh.

    1. LUCKYYYYYY.
I'm starting to think most of the country except me calls them Samoas??? But wtf like with the name Samoas you're like "what the hell is that" if you don't know what they are, but with "Caramel Delights" you get an idea of what they'll be like if you've never tried them before.
IT'S OUR BIRTHDAY MONTH NOOR *THROWS CONFETTI*

  6. Happy birthday to your dog! She's so cute!
One thing: I love the Tolkien elves because a) they are the original classic type of elves and b) they were actually very imperfect. If you've read the Silmarillion, you'd know that the elves were proud, often rude, killed eachother(in huge battles, and they were often family) made countless mistakes, and died a lot, and c) they're just better and more awesome than everyone else. So yeah. I love the elves :D

    1. Ahhh I know right?!? :D
Actually, yes, I've read Sil, and part of the reason I like it so much is because it shows that Elves do indeed have all the traits you just mentioned: pride, rudeness, etc. The reason I'm not overly fond of Elves is because most of the fandom envisions/romanticizes them as infallible, perfect beings, when really they have just as many flaws as hobbits, Dwarves, humans, etc. It's quite irritating to wander onto a fan site and hear everybody squealing about Elves and how perfect they are when, really, they do have flaws like everybody else, which most of the fandom either doesn't know or chooses not to see. (I don't have a problem with fans like you, though, who recognize the Elves' flaws and still choose to love them. Just the ones who act as though Elves are infallible and perfect and don't care to take into account their flaws. :) )

    2. Yes those fans are super annoying. Which is sad, because we should be a great big family, like other fandoms :(
