Tea and a Read
~ All photography mine, except the picture above. Using with a link back to On the Other Side of Reality is fine, but claiming as your own or using without linking is not. ~
This month, I've been drinking a tea called Starry Night. This tea has a rustic, subtly piney scent that reminds me of cozy winter nights in a log cabin in the woods, cuddled up in front of the fire while snow falls outside the window. It's a nice, subtle-tasting tea great for relaxing - or curling up with a great book, like
The Path of Daggers by Robert Jordan. The 8th book in the Wheel of Time series, I'm powering through this one at a rate that's stunning me. I??? Usually??? Take??? A??? Month??? To??? Read??? These??? Things??? But??? It's??? Been??? A??? Week??? And??? I'm??? Already??? Halfway??? Through??? It has to be one of my favorite books in the WOT series so far, though. Cadsuane is possibly my favorite person in the history of ever, and I LIVE for her encounters with Sorilea.
So, let's chat! What books have you been reading recently, and are there any special teas you've been drinking? Comment below, and have a lovely day, you ridiculously beautiful pickle, you.

Ellie

This is such a cool idea!
ReplyDeletebtw I really love those pictures.
So I recently got obsessed with this tea called Desert Tea (creative name right) or something aND IT IS SO GOOD.
There's a lot of citrus flavors, which is always great, and I'm not really an expert on tea, but I know it tastes good. xD
I also recently read The Fault In Our Stars for school, (I hadn't read it oh well) and I enjoyed it, but it wasn't really my favorite. I'm starting The Eye Of Minds by James Dashner, and I'm looking forward to it. :)
I've been rambling for quite a bit, so... yeah

I know, right!
DeleteThank you! :) It was my first time trying out book photography, so I'm glad you liked it.
AHHH THAT SOUNDS SO GOOD. I love citrusy tea :)
I thought about reading TFIOS a while ago, but I was in the middle of the WOT series so I decided not to.
Ah, no! I like your rambling :)

I love your photos, I mostly just drink green tea, but I love a lot of different flavors. Starry night sounds like a good one.

I haven't really been drinking any tea recently despite how freezing cold the UK has been. But a recent read of mine has been me before you by jojo moyes. I finished that thing in three days and I'm not ashamed to say I cried at the end.
ReplyDeleteAww! That book sounds awesome, I may have to check it out.

I always drink a cup of orange pekoe every morning, and like 56 times during the day, cause I'm so addicted to it.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA. I can't stand Cadsuane. Just wait....you'll see why. I think my favorite WoT character is Nynaeve, mainly because she's so sarcastic and I love it when she yanks on her braid.
I'm currently reading the fourth HP book, AND LOVING IT.
Oh! This does not bode well....I've liked Cadsuane so far, so we'll see.
DeleteAhh there are so many of them how do you expect me to pick a favorite???? But I think if I had to choose one it would be Juilin. I know he's a pretty minor character, but idk I've just really loved him since he was introduced, and I'd really like to see a chapter or two written from his POV.
AHH THAT WAS A GOOD ONE. My favorite was PoA, though.
