Songs I've Been Loving in March 2016

"Hallelujah" by Lindsey Stirling

THIS SONG IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL I CAN'T. The song on its own is gorgeous, but Lindsey's take is stunning and a little bit magical. :)

"Girls/Girls/Boys" by Panic! at the Disco

Girls love girls and boys,
And love is not a choice.

OOPS ELLIE YOUR GAY IS SHOWING.

So this is one of those songs I was absolutely, positively sure I would never like. Not because of the message - I love the message - but just because the sound seemed really bizarre to me. Idk, it just didn't resonate with me. But recently I gave it another try, and I canNOT STOP LISTENING TO IT OMG. This is my new theme song.

"Do It, Try It" by M83

A dance on repeat
A trance on a hard beat

This is a song I found on Spotify's Indie Darlings playlist, and I LOVE IT SO MUCH. It's super fun to dance to, and it's kind of wacky....but in a cool way??? Idk, I just really love the sound.

"Ghengis Khan" by Miike Snow

And the lights, they glow
Like I just lost the world war
And the scene slips away
To the evenness I fake

THIS IS ANOTHER GIFT THE INDIE DARLINGS PLAYLIST GAVE TO ME. I just love the melody in the verses, and it's such a fun song!

"Tennis Court" by Lorde

Because I'm doing this for the thrill of it, killin' it
Never not chasing a million things I want
And I am only as young as the minute is full of it
Getting pumped up from the little bright things I bought
But I know they'll never own me, yeah

GUYS I LOVE LORDE SO MUCH AND THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS OF HERS. I mean, before recently I'd kind of liked the song, but not a ton - and nOW I LOVE IT SO MUCH. I've always loved the uniquely raw + accoustic-y sound of her music, and this song is the perfect example.

Well, that's all for today! What songs have you been loving this month? Comment below, and have a lovely day. :)

Namarië,
Ellie

  4. GAH THAT PANIC! SONG. That's my second favorite off that album with my first favorite being Miss Jackson. ;)

Eh, just the usual All Time Low, Halsey, Fall Out Boy, all that (while drowning my sorrows in chocolate pudding and YouTube.) xD (I'm sorry I'm still recovering from that incident with my friend and the blogger/my breakup with my boyfriend.)

    1. Miss Jackson is really awesome! My favorite off that album has to be Casual Affair :)
Chocolate pudding is excellent for drowning one's sorrows in. Vanilla pudding is nice too, but not as much. And don't worry about it, you're totally fine. <3

    1. I love Glory & Glore, Team, and Yellow Flicker Beat. (I first saw that last one on your blog, I think, so in a way you introduced me to it. xD)
Smoke and Fire! I like it, but I don't love it - I think her voice sounds too auto-tuned. Usually, I wouldn't mind auto-tuning, but Sabrina just has such a naturally strong and beautiful voice I almost feel like auto-tuning is cheating herself/her voice out of its full potential, idk.

    1. Once in acting class someone asked me what my favorite color was and I said "blue, pink, and yellow, like my soul". Idk if they were educated enough to get it though xD
Same! Although there are a few I really like, it's overall one of my least favorite albums.
