Tea and a Read #2

Hey, young bloods! Tea and a Read, a fabulous idea started by Kathryn, is a monthly post where you share what tea you've been drinking and book you've been reading that month. Today, I'll be sharing my Tea and a Read for March :) I hope you enjoy!

~ All pictures by me ~

This month, I've been drinking a black tea they serve at the Empress hotel in Canada. My aunt went there recently and brought me back some tea, and it is quite delicious. Whenever I drink it, I feel very elegant, like I'm at my own little high tea.

I've been reading The Vampire Armand by Anne Rice. It's the sixth book in the Vampire Chronicles, and it's quite exciting because it brings a formerly minor character, Armand, into the spotlight for the first time. Also, it's the first time since the first book that Lestat hasn't been the narrator. The writing itself is beautiful, as Rice's usually is, and SYBELLE AND BENJI I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. As of now, I'd give it 4.5/5 stars. :D

Now, let's chat! What have you been reading this month? Any new teas you've been trying? Comment below, and have a lovely day. <3

Namarië,
Ellie

  2. Oooohhhh these photos are amazing!
BUT NOT AS AMAZING AS THAT MUG I LOVE IT. (The book seems cool too)
As you know I have been reading the count of monte Cristo and I just returned it yesterday and it was a very sad moment. Now I've just decided to read around the world in 80 days. I know I used to like the little kid classic version of it but I totally forgot why/literally everything that happened. SO MIGHT AS WELL READ IT AGAIN.

    1. THANK YOU LOVE. *BLUSHES* I KNOW RIGHT.
No but the cover of the book is seriously bothering me Reagan like okay. So the book CLEARLY states MULTIPLE times - in fact, it was a main plot point - that Armand is 17 (when he was turned, as I think you know, so he looks that age forever) with huge brown eyes and shoulder-length auburn hair and "the face of a Botticelli angel". But that person on the cover - who I guess is supposed to be Armand??? - does NOT look like that at all. This bothers me. This bothers me immensely. *frowns aggressively*
I READ THE SMALL CHILDREN VERSION OF IT TOO. It was really good. I remember there was an Englishman and his companion, and at one point they went to India and were trudging through the jungle with this pretty Indian lady on an elephant or something??? And the English dude might have fallen in love with her, and she may have accompanied them on the rest of their trip and married him when they got back home??? Idk. But the very best thing of all is Journey to the Center of the Earth. THAT was an amazing one.

  5. One day I'll just have to do an entire blog post about tea. I love year, and I got the cutest tea box that holds and organizes all the tea bags. AND YOUR MUG. It's gorgeous. And I TRIED reading Anne Rice once, but I was just not involved at all with the story :( I hate when that happens. ❤

Yeah, I think her books are a really love it or hate it thing.....some of her books (like this one and the one I'm reading right now, Merrick) I LOVE, but some (*coughcough* INTERVIEWWITHTHEVAMPIRE*) I was like "what the heck even is this book"
