The Deep Sea Book Tag!

Hey, young bloods! I've seen this fabulous-looking tag going around on Tumblr recently, and I thought it looked fun enough to steal. So sans further ado, here we go!

1. You see a fish so unique it stands out among the rest; it has the most unique structure, and its color is one you're not sure even exists. Which book stands out to you as being different from the rest or having its own unique color?

Definitely The Girl From Everywhere by Heidi Heillig. Not only is the plot really unique, but all the POC representation made my heart squeal. A+ FOR UNIQUE.

2. You continue diving and looking. All of a sudden, you come upon the most giant shark looming above you, and it frightens you. Which book are you very intimidated to read?

This one isn't necessarily intimidating, but I'm putting it off since it's rather long.

3. So far your dive has been pretty smooth. But something catches your eye - it’s a deep sea cave that just begs to be explored. You are so tempted by it that you have to dive into it and check it out. Only, you don’t realize how long you’ve been down there, and eventually you know you have to come back up for more air. Which book took you into that deep dark seclusion? Which book couldn’t you put down, not even for air?

If you tried interrupting me while I was reading this book, I probably killed you.

4. Finally reemerging from the cave and looking up, you see a beautiful sea creature. You think its the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen, but as you get closer you realize that behind the beauty it is deadly. Which book did you think was going to be good, but it turned very bad in the end?

I adored the first half and hated the second.

Idk, man.

5. After your deep sea exploration, you finally want to go back to the surface. You’ve had a fantastic experience underwater, but you break through the surface and breath fresh air for the first time in a long time. Which book was a breath of fresh air? Which book inspired you or picked you up and got you through a bad time or a reading slump?

It's rare that I have reading slumps, but earlier this year I read a string of disappointing books that was broken by this one.

  3. I'm so behind with my Wheel of Time Reading. I've been buying them as they came out, but I last read one in 2004/2005!
