The Hamilton Book Tag!

In which nobody nominated me and I do not care.

The Room Where it Happened | A Book World You Would Like to Put Yourself Into

UM, LIKE ALL OF THEM?

I must, of course, answer Middle-earth, but Discworld and Hogwarts are close seconds.

The Schuyler Sisters | An Underrated Female Character

I'm definitely going with Beth Johanssen from The Martian by Andy Weir. She's a tech genius and one of the astronauts who sets out to rescue Mark Watney from Mars. Summary of an actual scene that happened:

Commander Lewis: Johanssen, can you hack NASA's top security so they no longer have any control over our ship?

Johanssen: Lmao of course *does it in like ten minutes*

Stay Alive | A Character You Wish Was Still Alive

LITTLE WOMEN WAS MY CHILDHOOD, OKAY. I'M STILL 100% NOT OVER BETH'S DEATH.

Runners-up:
  • Sirius Black - Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling
  • Dobby - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling
  • Walter Blythe - Rilla of Ingleside by L.M. Montgomery
  • Merrick - Blackwood Farm by Anne Rice
  • Basically everyone in The Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien (except Fëanor, who was a pain in the ass)
Satisfied | Your Favorite Book With Multiple POVs

This is a tough one, but I'm going to have to go with Advise and Consent by Allen Drury.

Runners-up:
  • The Clockwork Three by Matthew J. Kirby
  • The Queen of the Damned by Anne Rice
  • The Titanic Trilogy by Gordon Korman
  • Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman
The Reynold's Pamphlet | A Book With a Twist You Didn't See Coming

The Dragon Reborn by Robert Jordan. Note to self: Do not make assumptions about a person's name, especially if that person is the Dark Lord.

Non-Stop | A Series You Marathoned

The Lord of the Rings, because what other good answer is there?

Burn | The Most Heartbreaking End to a Relationship

Oh my God. Merlin and Hallia from T.A. Barron's Merlin books. Four years later, I'm still not over it.

Helpless | A Relationship You Were Pulling For From the Start

SNOWBAZ. SNOWBAZ SNOWBAZ SNOWBAZ.

Runners-up:
  • Lan + Nynaeve - The Wheel of Time Series by Robert Jordan
  • Sean + Emily - The Thomas de Quincey Trilogy by David Morrell
  • Jesper + Wylan - The Six of Crows Duology by Leigh Bardugo
What Comes Next | A Series You Wish Had More Books

The Discworld Series by Terry Pratchett, for sure. Lord, I could read a million of those books and never tire of them.

Right Hand Man | Favorite Friendship

Aziraphale and Crowley from Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. They have such a sense of humor, and the idea of an angel and a demon being best friends is just too sweet for me to pass up.

(THE AFOREMENTIONED DEMON LITERALLY RAN INTO A BURNING BUILDING TO TRY TO SAVE THE AFOREMENTIONED ANGEL. AHHHH.)

It's Quiet Uptown | A Book or Series That Put You in a Book Hangover

THE DISCWORLD SERIES. BECAUSE WHAT OTHER ANSWER IS THERE.

Wait For It | Most Anticipated Upcoming Release

The Love Interest by Cale Dietrich. I swear to God, this book will be the only one I talk about until May 16th.

  1. I haven't read/seen Hamilton (although I'd very much like to!!), but this is a super cool tag :)

  2. I would love to live in Hogwarts, too! But I'd probably be one of those students who's in, like, the first book and then never heard from again. Probably because I tripped and fell off one of the revolving staircases.

    Great answers for these questions!

  3. XD Snowbaz is indeed adorable, but I also really liked Jesper and Wylan. I was glad they got to end up together. :) I'm also curious about this Beth in The Martian. I must learn more.

By the way, thanks for stopping by Sometimes I'm a Story!

    1. IKR. I was so nervous they weren't actually flirting and it was just my imagination in Six of Crows, and I was doubly nervous they wouldn't end up together until halfway through Crooked Kingdom. Once Jesper accidentally kissed Kuwei, I was fairly certain he and Wylan would be all right.

No problem; you run a great blog!
