3 Items on My Bookworm Bucket List

Bucket list: a list of things you want to do before you die. I'm not a really bucket-listy person, but there are a few bookish things I want to accomplish before I die:

1. Visit the Hobbit Holes in New Zealand. Lord of the Rings/Hobbit/misc. Tolkien is my biggest fandom by a landslide. When Peter Jackson & Co. were filming the Hobbit movies, they built a permanent set for Hobbiton in New Zealand, and it's currently available to visit + tour! I SHALL GET THERE SOME DAY. THIS IS MY NUMBER ONE GOAL IN LIFE.

2. Have a personal library with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. Because honestly, who wouldn't want this?

3. Tour Anne Rice's New Orleans house. For the majority of her life, Anne Rice (one of my favorite authors) lived in a beautiful Victorian house in New Orleans. When she lived there, she personally opened the house to tours for the public. But since she's moved away and the house has passed to different ownership, the tours have ceased. If the house is ever opened back up for tours again, I will literally drop everything and drive myself down to NOLA to get a tour.

So, let's chat! What's on your bucket list, bookish or no? Comment below, and have an awesome day. <3

  4. Yep, one and two are definitely on my bookish bucket list as well! And to have one of those super comfortable reading nooks. And to visit the Harry Potter tour in London, and the Harry Potter theme park in Florida, and and and... SO MANY.

  6. Okay, so to actually visit a Hobbit hole would be like a total dream come true. I NEED that in my life, so that is most definitely on my bucket list.

Also, I want a library filled to the brim with books--tons and tons and TONS of books!--with one of those slide-y roller ladders that are found in old libraries. (Hopefully you know what I'm talking about???) The ladders that just kinda breeze across the bookshelves??? Yeah. I want one of those.

And I also want the entrance to said library to be completely sealed by one of those secret doors built into the wall that rotate around when you pull a hidden lever.

So yeah. Basically my bucket list is more like a future home floorplan??? That's okay, though, right??? Right???

    Right...

    1. YESSS FOR SURE.

OH MY GOD THOSE LADDERS YES. I've always wanted to ride one of those. I'd also want spirally staircases leading up to little balconies dedicated to favorite series + books.
