What it is: The base for a team of freelance spies.

Who lives there: 6 spies by the names of

THE STRATEGIST: SKYLAR ANASTOSE

AGE: 24
GENDER: Male
SEXUALITY: Greysexual
BACKGROUND: Secretary for fmr. UN Ambassador Marley Pitch. Spied on her and the U.S. for no less than seven countries and spied on them for Ambassador Pitch and the U.S. Of course, when these events came to light, everyone denied having anything to do with him.
STRENGTHS: Loyalty, diplomacy, and teamwork.
WEAKNESSES: Unforgiving, inflexible, and moody.

AGE: 20
GENDER: Male
SEXUALITY: Homosexual
BACKGROUND: Was originally intent on going into the Coast Guard, but Siobhan saw his exemplary talent with a gun and hired him to be both her body guard and informant at Berkeley. Hence, he got two years of education there in planetary science. When Siobhan was found out and hired by Salvation Street, he went with her.

SO YES, I HAVE A SHINY NEW IDEA WIP. The Spies Just Shy of Legendary will be either a novel or novelette collection about the trials and tribulations of the spies of Salvation Street as well as Nagisa's quest for vengeance. It will contain plenty of gore, gay, and grocery cart racing, and I'm quite excited to begin writing it! I'm experimenting with present tense for the first time, and I'm liking it quite a bit. Before I go for today, here's one small snippet (the opening paragraph):

Siobhan Galbraith has many problems. The least of them is the papercut on her left pinkie, and the foremost is the Japanese gang leader who snuck into her apartment while she was at genomics class. Now, said gang leader is sitting unconcernedly across the room from her and nibbling away at her supply of Pop Tarts, while Siobhan stands very concernedly by the door with folded arms and furrowed brows.
“Not the strawberry ones,” she says.

Let's chat! Which character is your favorite? How are your WIPs going? What tense do you usually write in? Comment below, and remember you are all very beautiful pickles <3

Ellie

  1. Ahhh new WIP!! How exciting! I'm loving Siobhan, all the epic science yes. This looks awesome Ellie! As for my stories....ahhh...no time. I'm really bad at getting writing done while I have a lot of schoolwork so I'm basically at a standstill right now which is a real bummer because I miss my characters. I've been drawing them a lot to make up for it haha. Neat post!

  5. Oh my...this looks awesome. Where do I preorder it? (and a little off topic: I literally jut used Nagisa's pin-image-person (?) for a character myself. Coincidence or what?)

My favourite? Ooh, I quite like Skylar? He seems like someone I'd want in my corner.

  6. How do you come up with these ideas? You always have these amazing ideas for WIPs. My WIPs...well, I'm going slow and steady with Shattered Glass, but I've kind of mostly abandoned my others for the moment. I simply don't have enough time for anything else.

My favorites of your characters? I'd have to say Nagisa and Siobhan...some parts of their personalities remind me of me. Also, I kind of simultaneously want to hug them, be their friend, and run away in fear from them, so of course I like them.

    1. WHY THANK YOU. Ughhhh, I know the feeling. It's the absolute worst when you can't find time to write. Best of luck with Shattered Glass!

  7. Congratulations on the new WIP! May it thrive under your diligent fingers ^_^ I absolutely love the sound of these characters. Siobhan probably sounds like the one I'd lean to. Love me a mad scientist. :D

I'm currently writing a YA contemporary about a long-distance relationship. It is filled with puns.

    Happy writing!
