Dear June | Sincerely, May
- I've been binging SciShow like crazy. Especially their biology videos. I plan to start on physics next; maybe Hank Green will finally be the person to make me like math in science.
- May was our best month EVER for page views?? Whoa, guys. I can't say thank you enough, especially to the newcomers!
- Also, our wifi crashed a few days ago. I've been kinda getting by with a hotspot from my phone, but the connection is tenuous at best. Canva, finicky even with a strong connection, is downright refusing to load or save. Thusly, I may end up having placeholder images in a few posts until we can get this fixed up. :/

Best: Barnaby Grimes: Phantom of Blood Alley by Paul Stewart. Worst: Goodnight Punpun, Vol. 3 by Inio Asano. |
- I hope to get a big start on my summer goals. Volunteering frequently, writing a lot, and binging anime - click here to view all of them.
- I've recently started biking daily, and I want to continue that. My goal is to build up my stamina, so I can bike all the way to my grandma's house by the end of the summer!
Madeline @ A Paper Reverie talked about the problems with YA fantasy. And honestly, I'm pretty sure her article read my mind.
Anissa @ Of Wonderland wrote a master list of places to get cheap books. My wallet sends her a thousand thanks.
Julia @ Twilight to Dawn summed up my entire existence in one poem. Can someone get this girl published, please?!?
Finally, Leah @ Quite the Novel Idea posted an awesome review of Flame in the Mist by Renée Ahdieh. FitM is one of my next reads, and her review was very well-written and informative!
How was your May? What were you reading, watching, and doing? Any June plans? Comment below, and have a wonderful day <3

Ellie

Thank you!! Ahhh, IKR?!? They're all so precious, especially Hank and Michael. Lol, probably.

I love "Top of the World" by Greek Fire! While I am a bit embarrassed of how I stumbled upon the song (via Big Hero 6) it's just a beautiful song that captures the loneliness and succumb to the demise of just sacrificing EVERYTHING but how it's not worth it. While the band stated they wouldn't really elaborate on what it means and it's up to the listeners, I think that may be what they're going for. It's too bad they haven't released any new singles or albums in awhile. ALSO THE HAS SOME PRETTY GOOD ROCK INTO IT SO HOW CAN PEOPLE NOT LIKE IT. I really hope your wifi gets fixed up pretty soon!

IKR?! It's such a beautiful song <3 I think they just released a new single, actually! (At long freaking last) it's called "Coming Out of the Rain".

Oh my god, I SO feel you about exams crushing your soul. I was majorly sick while taking my worst exams and it was an absolute nightmare. In general, May has been totally insane and hectic. I am so happy it is FINALLY June. Took long enough right? Anyway, good luck on the booking, that's an awesome goal! Happy June!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh nooo, that sounds AWFUL. I'm glad you're better! I K R. May destroyed me. Thank you!!

Haha your may sounds very similar to what my April was! I'm glad you still managed to read 8 books even with finals looming above, that's impressive! When I had finals, I managed 1 book and was downright impressed with myself :P
ReplyDeleteNOW THAT IMPROVED THIS MONTH. I read 5 books, which is more than I have in a very very very way too long time. I'm happy with that. Also, your summer plans sound fantastic. I'm jealous.
A couple of the books were manga, so I think that helped me XD i also read over half those books in the week after school got out. So I probably only would have managed one or two!
DeleteCongrats!! Ahhh, thank you <3 have a great summer!

Congrats about the page views, and on making it through finals! Sorry about the wifi though, that is seriously awful. I often wonder how we lived before it hah. I had a slow reading month too, must have just been something about May. Hope you have a fabulous June!
ReplyDeleteThank you! IKR; I love the sheer amount of information that's at our fingertips right now. You too!
