Current TBR Pile #26

The Thief Who Spat in Good Luck's Eye by Michael McClung

While the first volume in this series, The Thief Who Pulled on Trouble's Braids, was good, it almost wasn't memorable enough for me to read the sequel. BUT EVEN THOUGH I KNOW AMRA AND HOLGREN ARE GONNA EVENTUALLY GET TOGETHER, THEY'RE SO ADORABLE I NEED TO SEE THE CHEMISTRY COME TO FRUITION IN PERSON.

The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick

I almost bought this book on vacation, but $25 was a bit too expensive. I do intend to check it out from the library now that I'm home, however!

Sword Art Online: Progressive, Vol. 3 by Reki Kawahara

SAO is a series about characters who get stuck in a virtual reality Dungeons and Dragons game, and Asuna - the blond on the cover - is the character I cosplayed at AnimeIowa!

Henry VI, Part 2 by William Shakespeare

I've always been a huge Shakespeare fan, but I hadn't read anything for nine months until I bought As You Like It while on vacation. AND MAN, AYLI TOTALLY REMINDED ME OF HOW MUCH I ADORE HIS PLAYS. The next one I want to read is Henry VI P2, which I almost bought along with AYLI.

A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess

I'm always interested in trying more classics, and this surrealist, dystopian novel looks like an interesting pick!

Inferno by Dan Brown

If you've read my vacation book haul, you've probably already heard me talk about this book. Basically, I wasn't planning on reading it soon, but I saw it at an independent bookstore and wanted to support the shop. It's part of the series that includes The Da Vinci Code, so I'm fairly certain I'll enjoy it!

  2. I remember EVERYONE reading Hugo Cabret in my 5th grade class years ago, but I never did get around to it. Also, your cosplay is so awesome, it looks like you had a lot of fun with it.

  3. when I was younger my mom decided to read Hugo Cabret aloud to me and my little siblings...however, it being a picture book made that a little difficult lol.

I just finished reading Strange the Dreamer and now I'm starting the Library of Fates.
