Dear September | Sincerely, August

A post in which I:
  • Reappear from the Void
  • Actually format the post so the title makes sense
  • Have a lot of feelings about a lot of things
    • Mainly The Assassin's Curse

Dear Eoin Colfer: I read 14 books this month. I won’t lie; I power-read like no other the last couple days of this month just so I could top the amount of books I read in July. And the books you penned were by far my favorites.

Favorite: The Eternity Code. Least favorite: The Great Gatsby.
Dear It Looks Like This: YOUR PAPERBACK COVER WAS REVEALED AND I’M UH, WHAT’S THE WORD? DEAD.

Dear Disney: Why have I been so obsessed with your music lately? I don’t even like you all that much.

Sincerely,
Ellie

Dear Pericles: I'm hoping you'll be a fun play to participate in. I have my first rehearsal tomorrow. Fingers crossed everything goes well!

Dear school: You know how much I love you. Please don’t murder me.

- DEAR THE ASSASSIN’S CURSE BY KEVIN SANDS: PLEASE BE EVERYTHING I’M HOPING FOR. I’M HOPING FOR A LOT, BUT I THINK YOU CAN DELIVER.

Sincerely,
Ellie

….because so many amazing bloggers have been putting out awesome content this month!

Melissa @ Quill Pen Writer listed a bunch of questions you should ask yourself while creating fictional histories. I’m totally pinning this for later reference!

Madeline @ Reverie Pages recommended a variety of books based on Lorde's new album.  As a fellow Lorde fan, this was such a fun post to read!

Serena @ Poetree suggested fun ways to increase your book hoard. I'd never heard of a few of these stores before, so I'll definitely have to check them out when I have some cash to spare!

Jill @ A Book Nerd Reads listed 17 diverse books you HAVE to read this year. I'll definitely be referencing this later!

Have you started school yet? What were your favorite reads of this past month? What music have you been listening to? Comment below, and have a lovely month.

Namarië,

Ellie

  3. EOIN COLFER YES! Artemis Fowl is one of my all-time favourite series ever penned on this earth, and I'm so glad you read it!

You know, I've been trying to get my hands on It Looks Like This - seems very interesting and something I'd very much like to read. Hope September is nice to you, and good luck with back to school!

  4. SCHOOL. I've finished one term, and I have two more to go :(

Oh and I read Artemis Fowl a couple of years ago! I did like it and from what I know it's a series right? If so, I'd love to pick up the continuing books. I read The Great Gatsby a few months ago! It's the only classic I've read this year. 0.0 How did you like it?

    1. It is!! Eh, I thought it was decently good and had some interesting characters, but it was mainly just dry and boring.
