6 Books I Have to Finish Before 2018

by - 5:34 PM

Êl síla erin lû e-govaned vîn! 2017 is all-too-quickly drawing to a close (seriously, who gave finals season permission to start this early?) and leaving us with lots of books we intended to read at the beginning of the year and just haven't yet. Before the ball drops on 2018, there are six books I really want to cram in:

6. Something by Shakespeare

Y'ALL. GUESS WHO JUST GOT THE COMPLETE PLAYS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE FOR $5 AT BARNES AND NOBLE.

THIS GIRL.

And since it's such a huge book, I know I would find it difficult to lug around and read during school. So I'm trying to knock out one or two before I go back to school next year. Maybe The Merry Wives of Windsor or All's Well That Ends Well?

5. 100 Selected Poems by E.E. Cummings

Y'all who know me know I adore poetry, especially Cummings's work. I can't wait to dive into this collection and discover a whole new treasure trove of favorites.

4. Knife of Dreams by Robert Jordan

I try to read books I buy relatively quickly, and I just splurged on this one at Barnes and Noble last week. I think owning books in the Wheel of Time series will motivate me to finally finish it.

3. Artemis by Andy Weir

My grandmother and I are planning to read this one together and compare notes since she's the one who got me into The Martian.

2. The Secret History by Donna Tartt

I just started this one, so I figure I better well be able to finish it by 2018. It's already such an intriguing, eerie read!

1. Scourge by Gail Z. Martin

This is another one I've started - in fact, I've almost finished. I just don't want to get caught up in my holiday books and leave this one behind, you know? I've seen mostly uncomplimentary reviews of it, and I'm not quite sure why?? It's a fabulous read so far, one of my very favorites of December.

Let's chat! Have you read any of these books? What books do you want to read before 2018? What's a book you like but nobody else seems to? Comment below, and have a fabulous day.

(And good luck to those starting finals soon!)

Namarië,
Ellie
