Current TBR Pile #29

Lord! 29 of these already? But I haven't done one in a while, so I feel I'm justified in adding yet another installment.

Legendary by Stephanie Garber

I feel like I'm one of the rare few who actually liked Caraval (or at least wasn't let down. Probably because I had low expectations to begin with.) and am excited for this next book. I'm a bit cautious since it's from the point of view of Tella, the main character's younger sister, and I really did like Scarlett's narration in the first book. (Again, one of the few.) This won't be out until May 2018, but I'm already speculating about where the story will go next!

The Great American Whatever by Tim Federle

This is one I struggled with for a long time. I'm just not sure if the genre (contemporary) and tone (blase?) are really my thing. In the end, I've decided to put it on the pile. Who knows, it may come off again. But for now, I'm planning on reading it.

This Book is Not For You by Daniel A. Hoyt

THIS LOOKS SO GOOD AHHH. I love the innovation of genre mashup, and Neptune seems like a fantastic storyteller and fascinating character. In addition to my TBR, this is also going on my birthday wishlist.

The Princess Bride by William Goldman

This is one of those classics I've known I should pick up for a long time, but I've never gotten around to it. I may actually be getting it for Christmas - fingers crossed!

Narrative of the Life of a Revolutionary Soldier by Joseph Plumb Martin

This memoir by a soldier in the American Revolution about his experiences is my pick for a nonfiction project we're doing in English. I've wanted to read it for a while (nerd), and now I'm finally going to do it!

Unbelievable by Katy Tur

I'm usually not a fan of books by any type of celebrity - singer, politician, scientist - but this one by reporter Katy Tur chronicling her experience covering Trump during the campaign seems like one I'd enjoy. I'm in queue for it at the library, but I likely won't get it for a while.
