CALLING ALL WRITERS for an epic collab opportunity!

For those who don't know, Camp NaNo is coming up in April. It's just like regular NaNo, except you get to set your own word count. Even though I rarely participate, I love the atmosphere of renewed writing excitement that takes over the blogosphere. So this year, I've decided to host a writing event on my blog during the week leading up to Camp. But I need help in order to pull this off--and that's where you guys come in.

Every day for the week leading up to Camp NaNo April, a different blogger will guest post on my blog about some aspect of writing. You can write about writing for Camp specifically or any aspect of writing in general! Example post ideas might be:

  • your best tips for resolving plot holes
  • methods for coming up with perfect character names
  • how to minimize writer’s block
  • your favorite sources of writing inspiration
  • how to write killer dialogue
  • tips for writing fight scenes
  • making the most of your Camp NaNo experience
  • how to stay sane on a writing deadline
  • common mistakes writers make in area X, and how to fix them
  • developing great side characters, villains, etc.
  • anything else related to helping writers write the best versions of their stories!

If you’re interested in writing a post for this week of writing, just fill out the form below! Note that I’d like everyone’s post to differ at least a little in subject matter (for example, one post about developing villains and one about developing protagonists is fine, but not two posts about developing protagonists). Spots will mostly be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis—but if you’re a little late to the party and your idea is good, I could probably sneak you in somewhere. ;)

If you submitted, I'll get in touch with you shortly regarding more logistical details! And if you're not interested in writing a post, make sure you mark your calendars to come back here during the last week of March and discuss writing with all of us.

(Or sooner than that. I'll have a real post coming up soon, promise. ;) )

  2. Love this idea! Will definitely be circling back to tune in and read during the week :)

  3. This is such a cool idea! I'll be attempting to add some more words to my draft, but I admit, I am garbage at writing on a regular basis. XD Can't wait to see what other writers say here.

Thank you for your comment :) they make my day. Feedback is always welcome.
